What a Waste!

 

Every week, our Tuatha volunteers pick/gather up refuse from the forest park.

It is the unattractive side of our regular volunteering duties but one that is so necessary for the benefit of both visitors and residents (wildlife!) of the park.

From next week we will be weighing what we collect, registering it online and ensuring that we fully separate out the returnable and refundable plastic beverage cans/bottles from the rest of the waste. We do actually undertake the latter and maybe make €50-€80 every year in income since the scheme started. But we could be better
